Northern Alberta SWD Facility
Project Overview
New salt water injection facility was constructed to dispose of produced water from facilities located in the area. Receipt of the water will be via tanker trucks and a salt water transfer pipeline. The facility will remove residual hydrocarbon, remove residual solids and increase pressure to a maximum of 28 MPag in order to inject salt water into one of three Class 1b disposal wells.
Corsair Design Scope: Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management
Major Equipment: Six 572 m3 (3600 bbl) produced water storage tanks, Three parallel particulate filtration trains, Three 33% water injection pumps to inject 1000 m3/d of water each, A pump building complete with floor drain sump and pump, Pump building will house the charge pumps, skim/transfer pump and chemical injection metering pumps, A filter building complete with floor drain sump and pump, An instrument air building, An MCC building complete with new MCC, PLC, VFD, HMI and UPS.
